Smith Auto Pix started the same way many great ideas do — with a problem that needed to be solved. Dealerships were spending valuable time trying to photograph vehicles themselves… and the quality just wasn’t keeping up with what today’s online buyers expect.
Before I ever picked up a camera, I spent time working inside the dealership, in BDC and Internet Sales. That experience changed everything — I saw exactly how customers shop, what they click on, what makes them call… and what makes them scroll past a vehicle entirely.
That’s when it clicked:
Better merchandising = more leads. Better photos = more sales.
So I built a service around a simple idea:
Consistent, dealership-ready photos uploaded quickly → more online attention → more showroom traffic → more deals closed.
What started as just me with a camera grew quickly. Today, Smith Auto Pix provides:

At the helm of Smith Auto Pix is Ryan Smith, a lifelong automotive enthusiast with real dealership experience. Before building Smith Auto Pix, Ryan worked inside the dealership — in BDC and internet sales which gave him firsthand insight into what customers actually look for online and how the right photos lead directly to more leads and faster vehicle turnarounds.
What began as a passion for cars and cameras evolved into a specialized service built around one core mission:

Today, Ryan leads a small but dedicated team of trained field merchandising specialists.
